Sometimes, dealing with criticism from family and friends can be difficult. However well-meaning, they may have trouble understanding and accepting your choices and try to convince you of living differently.
Keep your cool and openly explain what you are doing what you are doing and why. Also talk about the evidence your eating choices are based on. If after this, you don't get support from your loved ones, then try not to take this personally. Whatever happens, do avoid alienating yourself from people and find ways to connect that are not related to food. And definitely don’t give in to peer pressure. You are in charge of your own health, and your health is important to you primarily. Know that those that truly love and understand you will accept your choice to be healthier and happier.
