How do I deal with sugar cravings on keto?

If you’re very used to and dependent on your sweets and starchy foods, then the first weeks of keto will be challenging. But this is temporary, and once your body adapts, it is very likely your craving for sweet things will diminish or disappear. Until then, here are some tips for you to deal with your cravings for sweets:

  • Don’t keep your “forbidden” foods around – get rid of them.

  • At least for the first weeks, avoid fruits and sweet carbs

  • If you really need something sweet, use "zero-carb" healthy sweeteners, like stevia.

  • Make low GI keto desserts using a suitable sugar substitute in small amounts, like Erythritol.
