At what time of the day should you test ketone levels?

There is no guideline on what specific time of day you should measure your ketone levels. But, because ketone concentrations are generally lower in the morning and higher in the evening, make sure to be consistent and test at the same time each day (whatever that time may be). It is best to avoid measuring your ketone levels right after exercise, since the numbers you’ll get won’t be representative. Also if you are dehydrated urine ketone levels will seem higher when in reality you are lacking water.
