Gingerbread Crinkle Keto Cookies Recipe

Because this recipe calls only for almond flour, the cookies are very moist and dense. If you like your cookies to have more crunch, replace ¼ of the almond flour with coconut flour. However, we think they're good as they are. See by making them yourself – the proof is in the pudding.

Serve: 24 cookies


  • ½ cup room-temperature butter
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups Swerve powder, reserve ½ cup
  • 2 cups blanched almond flour
  • ¼ cup cacao powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, sugar-free
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest


  1. Preheat oven to 350F (176°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream the butter and Swerve until soft peaks form.
  3. Add the almond flour, cacao powder, baking powder, ginger powder, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, eggs, and orange zest.
  4. Using a wooden spoon or mixer, stir all ingredients until well combined.
Gingerbread crinkle keto cookies before going into the oven
  1. Shape the dough into 24 balls. Wet your hands to prevent the dough from sticking.
  2. Place remaining Swerve in a shallow dish. Roll the balls through the Swerve.
  3. Arrange 12 balls per baking sheet.
  1. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes or until crinkled and slightly browned.
  2. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Recipe notes

Do not overbake these cookies. Cookies made with almond flour can become too crumbly if overbaked.

Do not replace Swerve with other non-nutritive sweeteners. Swerve contains oligosaccharides that serve as binders in this recipe together with the eggs.
